She is here! Our little Ava has arrived. She was born Dec 22 weighing in at 6 lbs 15 oz and 19.5 inches long. We were even able to come home for Christmas. I couldnt have asked for a better present. I cant believe its been a month since her arrival. We are finally settling into (somewhat) of a routine- and even nights aren’t too bad. She is up about every 3 hours to feed, but (for the most part) goes right back to sleep. My older girls just love her. They are so eager to help- and have done such a great job. (though I did catch my 4 year old picking her up after I changed her diaper and went to wash my hands… I looked up and she was holding her up over the hardwood floors. eek! We had to have the ‘you can only hold her when sitting down and mommy hands her to you’ talk again.)

I also wanted to say a huge thank you to my family and friends. I have been so touched at the outpouring of love shown to us over the past month. Thank you for your emails… I recieved one during a late night feeding – and it made my night! Thank you for the meals… They came at just the time I needed it. The gifts. It has been a season of great blessings, and I am thankful – more than you will ever know.
