We made it!! | Moab Portrait Photographer
Friday, June 29th, 2012Well, that was quite the break, wasnt it?! I cant believe it- we are here!
Last October we decided to make a huge life change. Our little family decided to leave the one place my children and I have ever called home, Salt Lake City (the Mr has lived in other places). We decided to put our home up for sale and head south to Moab. Within 8 weeks, we were packing boxes and heading south. It was nothing short of crazy! But here we are… settled (but not 100% unpacked!) and loving life! Moab is such an incredible place… and we have had some pretty amazing adventures! (Which are coming up!)
Today, I decided to document my day. Ava is 18 months. Busy, and always looking for an adventure. A counter to climb, wipes to pull out of the case… or full cups of water to dump over. She is hardly still. Thats what I love so much about her. She is truly her own little person. I also know how quickly this stage passes. When my older girls were this age, I thought it would never pass. I thought I’d never be able to take a shower in peace. Now, I know. I know that in a blink of an eye she will be entering the 3rd grade. Her hands will grow, and no longer want to hold mine. These are the things I want to hold on to. This is what makes each day a treasure.

She’s here!
Thursday, January 20th, 2011She is here! Our little Ava has arrived. She was born Dec 22 weighing in at 6 lbs 15 oz and 19.5 inches long. We were even able to come home for Christmas. I couldnt have asked for a better present. I cant believe its been a month since her arrival. We are finally settling into (somewhat) of a routine- and even nights aren’t too bad. She is up about every 3 hours to feed, but (for the most part) goes right back to sleep. My older girls just love her. They are so eager to help- and have done such a great job. (though I did catch my 4 year old picking her up after I changed her diaper and went to wash my hands… I looked up and she was holding her up over the hardwood floors. eek! We had to have the ‘you can only hold her when sitting down and mommy hands her to you’ talk again.)
I also wanted to say a huge thank you to my family and friends. I have been so touched at the outpouring of love shown to us over the past month. Thank you for your emails… I recieved one during a late night feeding – and it made my night! Thank you for the meals… They came at just the time I needed it. The gifts. It has been a season of great blessings, and I am thankful – more than you will ever know.
And… because I know you all are waiting… here she is!! (These are just a few I’ve taken… I still have piles of photos to go through and edit.)
